1,000th Sport Medal Plaque
I used a beautiful bronze metallic-effect material and a customized toolpath for my 3D printer to make this unique, one-off plaque for the customer that ordered the 1,000th piece.
I added it into the customer's order as a free bonus plaque, and included a note explaining why it was in there.
The star pattern on the front surface gives it a shimmery look, reflecting the light back at you in a way that accents and complements the medal displayed on it.
ShuttleShip S12 Candy Cane Edition
This ShuttleShip was my first limited edition for the product line. I wanted to make a holiday-themed edition that wasn't too Christmassy, so I decided to look at candy canes and holiday wrapping paper for inspiration.
My first few tries were far too busy, so I simplified the stripes and used white as the main color. The stripes at the top gave it an interesting sort of petal effect, so that's something I'm looking to experiment more with in the future.
ShuttleShip S18X: ShuttleBirds 2025
The organizers of ShuttleBirds commissioned this ShuttleShip for their 2025 convention's silent auction. The theme for that year was mythical creatures, so I chose a material that has a subtle blue-green shimmer to it and added some silver pinstripes to the base.
I chose the S18X model so that the winner of the auction has plenty of room for shuttles and tools. I also debossed the convention information and serial number into the inside of the center cubby.
The dragon pattern is by AnneB, and the thread is hand-dyed by Marilee Rockley.
