License types
3D models available through this website may be purchased and made use of via Personal and Commercial licenses. These two licenses will cover all possible areas of application of 3D model files.
License type | Allows distribution of prints | Allows distribution of 3D file(s) |
Personal | No | No |
Commercial | Yes | No |
Personal License
The Personal License provides a purchaser with an ongoing, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-refundable license to use a specific digital product purchased or downloaded from Stephanie Cervi Design. Personal licensing allows you to use the applicable 3D model file(s) to create one end product for yourself only. The Personal License only applies to the specific product you purchased (or downloaded if free) and not to any other products.
What you can do
You may print a 3D file under a Personal License for your own personal use as many times as you wish, on a 3D printer you personally own. For example: printing more Sport Medal Display Plaques as needed to display your expanding collection of sport medals.
What you can’t do
You may not give away, sell, donate, or in any way distribute the 3D model file(s), including sending to independent print services. (Shapeways, UPS, Etsy, Fiverr, etc. are not allowed).
You may not give away, sell, donate, or in any way distribute prints of the 3D model file(s), including but not limited to printing for a friend or family member, printing for a club or hobby group, printing to give as a gift, or printing as a service to a client. You may not give away, sell, donate, or in any way distribute other finished products produced using the 3D mode file(s) including but not limited to production via injection molding or laser cutting.
You may not provide the 3D model file(s) to any other third party, including family members and friends, for the purpose of 3D printing the file(s) on your behalf. If you do not own a 3D printer personally, your Personal License does not permit you to make 3D prints of the file(s) using someone else’s printer.
You may not modify the 3D model file(s) in any way. The file(s) must be used in the state they were provided to you. You may not remove any logos, marks, branding, text, or other identification from the file(s).
You may not use the 3D model file(s) in whole or in part in your own 3D models for profit or otherwise without prior written consent from Stephanie Cervi Design. You may not use the 3D model file(s) or 3D prints created from them in any crowdfunding, distribution, or fundraising platform, including but not limited to Kickstarter, Indiegogo, MyMiniFactory, or GoFundMe.
License term
Personal Licenses are perpetual, commencing from the date of initial purchase or download.
Commercial License
The Commercial License grants a purchaser an ongoing, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-refundable license to use a specific 3D product purchased from Stephanie Cervi Design as an INDIVIDUAL MERCHANT ONLY. Commercial Licensing allows you to use the applicable 3D model file(s) to create unlimited end products for yourself or your clients; the end product may be sold. The Commercial License only applies to the specific product(s) you purchased (or downloaded if free) and not to any other products.
My Authorized Resellers page will provide a link to your store to help customers find local printing services. Once you have purchased your license, please send me an email with your business name, URL, and location so that I can add you to my database.

License term
Commercial Licenses are renewed monthly via an auto-renewing subscription. For the duration of the subscription, your license is active and valid. After expiry or cancellation, you are no longer permitted to sell 3D prints of models covered by this license, and your license reverts to a Personal License. To regain your Commercial License, simply start a new Commercial License subscription for the product.
You have a 3-day grace period, beginning the day after your license’s expiration or cancellation date, to remove product listings from your website(s). After this 3-day grace period, I will check your website(s) and all other affiliated locations to ensure the products have been removed from sale.

License FAQ
How many times can I print the 3D file(s)?
Personal License: You may print unlimited times but only for your personal use.
Commercial License: You may print unlimited times for personal or commercial use.
Can I share the 3D file(s) with my cousin/sibling/friend/etc.?
No. I appreciate that you may want to save time and money by having a close friend or someone else with a 3D printer print the file(s) for you, but that’s in violation of both the Personal and Commercial Licenses. Both Licenses are non-transferrable, so your cousin/sibling/friend/etc. would need to obtain their own Commercial license to be permitted to distribute prints of the file.
One option is for them to buy the file(s) (or download if free), purchase a one-month commercial license, print what you need, then let the license expire after it is no longer needed.
Can I sell prints at my local craft fair?
Of course, once you purchase a Commercial License to do so.
Do I need to report any sales to you?
I would greatly appreciate it. Realistically though, I have no way to enforce this because of how 3D model files are encoded. It’s on the honor system. I’d love to know how many sales you’re making so that I can keep track of what my most popular designs are; it helps me target my design efforts in the future.
How many products does my license apply to?
Personal and Commercial Licenses apply to all 3D model products you've purchased or downloaded from Stephanie Cervi Design.
Unlicensed resellers
Stephanie Cervi Design will be monitoring the internet and all modeling sales channels to ensure that my products are not being sold by unlicensed sellers. This ensures that you, a license holder, get the best value from your license.
Should you discover anyone you suspect is selling Stephanie Cervi Design products without an active license, please contact me immediately at contact@stephaniecervi.design and provide any details you have about the seller, sales channel, host, URL, and any other pertinent information. I will investigate and take appropriate action.
